St. Louis & Ferguson, Missouri | Thanksgiving 2014
This year I went with my wife to her hometown of East St. Louis, IL & St. Louis, MO.
We arrived the day after the verdict of Mike Brown was announced.
These are photos of my time participating in a protest that shut down a major highway
in STL, had multiple "die-in" protests at Bed, Bath & Beyond and a few other stores. I was grateful
to be a part of such an amazing energy and movement. I am proud of everyone and their efforts
to keep these injustices in the eye of those who need it most.
Below is a video that I shot/edited. My wife directed, choreographed & performed in this video. It is an artistic approach to understanding the complexity of this country and it's deeply rooted, institutionalized mechanisms.
